Position Summary

Are you passionate about health and beauty products and helping people look and feel good? Clicks is offering an exciting opportunity for a Service Advisor at Letlhabile Mall who will report directly to the Store Manager. This role is vital in ensuring service excellence at the point of sale.


Job Description

Job Purpose: To ensure service excellence at the point of sale through efficient customer service and management of operational activities.



Job Objectives:

  • Efficiently direct and control all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely manner.

  • Safely manage stock and cash, minimizing shrinkage while ensuring high standards of housekeeping and administrative tasks.

  • Train, motivate, and direct shop assistants/cashiers to deliver service excellence consistently.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels in accordance with the work schedule and company policies.

  • Resolve customer queries promptly, adhering to company policies.

  • Promote the Clicks clubcard to achieve participation targets.

  • Enforce security measures, cash controls, return policies, and administrative duties to minimize stock losses at the point of sale.

  • Act as a brand ambassador to deliver superior customer service, being visible and approachable to customers.

  • Maintain updated knowledge on products, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12 certification.

  • Desirable: A minimum of 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.

  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants).

  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably overseeing employees in a retail/FMCG environment.

  • Experience in numeracy and stock management.



Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:

  • Understanding and application of financial management principles.

  • Retail/FMCG background with knowledge of merchandising and promotional strategies.

  • Familiarity with stock, cost, risk, and compliance management.

  • Knowledge of customer service excellence principles.

  • Understanding of labor legislation and industrial relations practices.

  • Proficient in competency-based interviewing techniques.

  • Results-oriented with strong managerial, planning, and organizing skills.

  • Effective problem-solving abilities and strong customer orientation.

  • Good communication and computer literacy skills.

  • Strong numeracy skills.
