Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Education: Grade 11 pass report.
Certification: Nail Technician certificate (gel and acrylic).
Experience: At least 2 years of technical experience in a professional beauty/nail salon environment.
Availability: Willing and able to work retail hours.
Key Responsibilities
As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for:
Building and managing your own clientele base.
Reporting on customer compliments and complaints.
Conducting monthly promotions and ensuring monthly treatment and product targets are met.
Attending training sessions to stay updated on new products and treatment techniques.
Completing customer cards for new clients and submitting accurate monthly reports.
Managing stock levels and adhering to Dis-Chem’s treatment and service payment procedures.
Providing a high standard of nail care and painting techniques.
Competencies
Successful candidates will possess:
Strong knowledge of nail technology, including correct product application techniques and nail treatment contra-indications.
Excellent command of the English language.
Ability to work as part of a team and establish good customer relations.
Trustworthiness and honesty.
A target-driven mindset to meet daily treatment planning and administration goals.
Advantageous Qualifications
Bilingual (speaking an additional language).
Special Conditions of Employment
Willing and able to work retail hours.
Fit and capable of performing proper manicures and pedicures.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transport, or residency in close proximity to the store.
South African citizen with a clear credit and criminal record.
