Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated Learning & Development (L&D) Partner to join our team in Midrand. The primary purpose of this role is to provide responsive, effective, and efficient learning and development services to designated categories. You will be responsible for maintaining robust learning and development systems and processes.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
Education: Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate.
Experience: 3 years working experience in Learning and Development.
Qualification: Relevant HR undergraduate qualification.
Job Responsibilities:
Learning Delivery:
Identify and assess training needs through skills gap analysis and engagement with management.
Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance capabilities for career development, succession planning, and leadership programs.
Manage training activities to ensure adherence to policies and budget targets.
Address learning requirements from management and align with the L&D budget to ensure effective delivery.
Engage in the implementation of learnerships and graduate programs.
Collaborate with managers and subject matter experts to assess needs and propose training interventions.
Stay updated on industry trends (FMCG, Pharmacy, and Logistics) and legislative requirements.
Provide recommendations based on identified trends, success factors, risks, and gaps.
Assist in delivering a learning curriculum that improves performance and provides a return on investment.
Partner with Learning Administrators for successful training coordination and delivery.
Monitor learning work-back obligations for internships, learnerships, and graduate programs.
Stakeholder Management:
Develop collaborative relationships to support the company's growth and strategic objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, accommodating their needs.
Gather feedback from managers to evaluate employee readiness for training interventions.
Reporting & Compliance:
Capture and consolidate training information for SETA, BBBEE, and compliance reports.
Maintain a strong relationship with skills development facilitators for compliance.
Administer learnerships, internships, and graduate programs to ensure SETA compliance.
Submit comprehensive monthly training reports to Managers and Senior Managers.
Competencies:

Comprehensive understanding of the Learning & Development cycle within the Retail industry.
Knowledge of Seta and BBBEE compliance.
Ability to make timely, informed decisions.
Effective communication skills for group presentations.
Capacity to promote teamwork and cooperation.
Commitment to quality and adherence to standards.
Adaptability to changing business conditions and responsibilities.
Strong pressure management and resilience.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and LMS systems.
Special Conditions of Employment:
Must be South African.
MIE, clear criminal and credit checks required.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Occasional local travel may be required.
