About the Role:
The University of the Free State is seeking dynamic individuals to fill the role of Assistant Officer: Registration Assistants. This contract position will involve providing exceptional customer service and support to students during the registration process. Successful candidates will be part of a dedicated team, ensuring smooth operations across various campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver professional and friendly customer service via email, face-to-face, and telephone interactions.
Address enquiries through our Chatbot and utilize resources like FAQs and website information to provide consistent and accurate responses.
Assist students with registration guidance and provide them with the necessary forms to fulfill their requests.
Collect and verify documentation from students/applicants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
Communicate progress and feedback to students regarding their requests and related queries.
Process data and assist with data capturing while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Troubleshoot errors and complaints from customers to facilitate resolution and maintain a high level of service.
Inherent Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) months experience in a customer service or contact centre environment.
Applicants must not be students.
Recommended Qualifications:
Post-school qualification preferred.
Two (2) years of administrative work experience is an advantage.
