About the Programme

Purpose of the Programme
As a Learner Maintenance Trainee, you will receive training in the following areas:
Working effectively in a team
Safety with hand tools
Assembly & manufacturing drawing and marking off
Welding techniques
Operating and monitoring production machines
Preparing surfaces for production
Firefighting procedures
Operations and dispatch of products
Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for this Learnership Programme, you must possess:
A National Technical Certificate (N3 – N6)
Matric or Technical Matric with the following subjects:
Mathematics
Physical Science or Engineering Science
Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory
Motor Trade Theory
Mechanical Drawing
Graphical Design
Competencies Required
Strong communication skills
Planning and organizing abilities
Adaptability
Analytical thinking
Accurate information gathering and analysis
Perseverance and determination
Upon completion of the Learnership Programme, you will receive an NQF Level 3 certification.
