Job Description:

Motus Aftermarket Parts is seeking a dedicated General Worker to join our branch in Wadeville. The successful candidate will perform general warehouse duties, including stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, and moving stock, ensuring that the warehouse remains clean and organized.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

• Binning:

  • Efficiently bin incoming merchandise and replenish inventory from bulk to pick locations according to standard operating procedures.

  • Allocate new products with bin location numbers in the appropriate warehouse area.

  • Update bins and report stock allocations to your supervisor.

  • Assist in replenishment functions and ensure all incoming goods are received and checked according to company standards.

• Picking:

  • Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off times.

  • Use bulk locations only as alternative bins when stock is depleted, preventing the breakage of pack sizes during order processing.

  • Follow reasonable and lawful instructions from your supervisor and adhere to procedures to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in stock take procedures and maintain daily housekeeping.

• Scanner Control:

  • Issue scanners to all operators daily and book them out using the electronic app.

  • Inspect and book scanners back into stock after return, reporting any damages to the supervisor.

  • Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.

• Knowledge of spares, motor, or engine parts, as well as warehouse systems and procedures.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Efficient, accurate, and detail-oriented.

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

• Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile.

• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Physically fit and capable of performing warehouse duties.

• Honest and demonstrate integrity in all aspects of work.
