Key Responsibilities
Ensure that products are neatly displayed on shelves and available to customers.
Monitor stock levels and ensure products have not reached their sell-by dates.
Provide timely assistance for out-of-stock queries and efficiently address customer needs.
Conduct transactions accurately and manage payment processes.
Maintain an organized storeroom and report stock discrepancies.
Engage with customers, providing courteous advice, and addressing complaints and compliments.
Assist with training new staff members when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.
0 – 6 months retail work experience.
Advantageous:
1 year of retail experience.
Certification in Retail Business Management.
Competencies
Essential:
Understanding of retail operations and basic arithmetic.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow procedures and take responsibility for work quality.
Advantageous:
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP).
Special Conditions of Employment
Must be able to work retail hours.
Must be a South African citizen with no criminal record and clear credit rating.
Driver’s license and own reliable transport are required.
