Qualifications Needed:

• Grade 12 📚

• Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) 💪

• Medical Test (NFPA 1582 compliant) 🩺

• Code C1 Driver’s License 🚗

Experience:

• None required! This program is open to individuals ages 18 to 35. 🌟

What They’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa) 🗣️

• Ability to work shifts and overtime ⏰

• Must be physically fit and mentally prepared to operate under extreme conditions 🌡️

• No criminal record (Police clearance required) 🚨

Job Purpose:

As a trainee firefighter, you will:

• Respond to firefighting emergencies and life-saving situations 🆘

• Render basic medical care 💖

• Assist in fire prevention and community safety initiatives 🔍

• Support the maintenance of fire station facilities and equipment 🏢🛠️
