TB HIV Care is excited to announce an opening for an Enrolled Nurse within our PPPrev Programme in OR Tambo, Eastern Cape. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential HIV prevention services to vulnerable populations, particularly adolescent girls and young women.

Purpose of the Position:

The Enrolled Nurse will play a crucial role in delivering the HIV prevention package to adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) under the direct or indirect supervision of the Nurse Clinician.


Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

  • Certificate in nursing from a recognized college

  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a clinical setting

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy

  • Proficiency in English and isiXhosa

  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license

  • Clear criminal record


Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders and community role-players.

  • Collaborating with government departments and partners for effective service delivery.

  • Mapping out community sites for HIV prevention services, including PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).

  • Conducting follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.

  • Adhering to Infection Prevention Control (IPC) standards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols.

  • Identifying victims of gender-based violence and facilitating appropriate referrals for care.

  • Mentoring HAST counsellors and submitting regular reports.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Competence in stakeholder management and statistical reporting.
